Curious Shoes - touring show
In partnership with Shropshire Council the project hosted the show Curious Shoes, which toured to community and care settings. An inviting, engaging and flamboyant performance piece, the show delighted audiences across the county.
The show, devised by Artful Minds Director Magdelena Schamberg is a collaborative performance for people living with dementia, their loved ones and those who care for them.
Curious Shoes provides an opportunity for somebody with dementia to share the experience of seeing a piece of high-quality theatre, without it being a stressful or worrying experience. It offers a chance to be creative, to be seen and to be heard.
Following the tour, the Creative Team and CC project partners were fortunate to be able to benefit from a one day training session with Magdelena and her team, exploring the physicality of ageing and living with dementia. The insight and understanding gained during the session proved invaluable.
